Born and raised in Los Angeles, KAIT SCHUSTER is a writer-director-actor + production designer with a passion for representing authentic queer intimacy on screen.

Her work includes short films GERANIUM (Short of the Week, Panavision New Filmmaker Grant; NewFest, Palm Springs Int’l ShortFest, Salute Your Shorts), GIANNA (Inside Out, Outfest; starring Margaret Cho and Rivkah Reyes), and web series, OH, LIZA (IndieWire Project of the Day.)

Kait's first feature WHATEVER WHATEVER is in development with Killer Films, and was a participant in the Inside Out Finance Forum

As a PD, Kait designed GERANIUM, GIANNA, THE MOUNTAIN (Starring David Burtka, Dir. Will Mayo and Ian MacGregor, Inside Out) and THE BLOOMS (Starring Kathy Griffin, Dir. Jorey Worb) and SHE RAISED ME (Starring Rosie O’ Donnell, Dir. Ben Lewis.)

She is an alumni of the Conservatory at the Atlantic Theater Company and is an advocate for building accessible film sets for creators of all abilities.
